The Finance Office accounts for and manages the Town’s finances. The Finance Office receives and disperses all funds received from sources such as taxes, user fees, grants, state aid, and interest payments, as well as processing all accounts payable vouchers for payment. The annual budget is coordinated and prepared by the Finance Office, and the office continues to monitor and coordinate budget status with all Town offices throughout the year.
The office is responsible for the financial record keeping of all Town funds and improvement districts, interacting with lending institutions to obtain funds for capital projects, interfacing with outside auditors, facilitating bond payments, and preparing and submitting monthly and annual financial reports for the local and state governments.
In addition, the Finance Office handles all personnel and human resources issues for Town employees, including employee policies, benefits, and in house payroll processing.
