The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is a five member Board appointed by the Town Board for terms of five years. The ZBA is an appellate board who can review any permit application denied by the Code Enforcement Officer. The ZBA typically considers applications related to special use permits, area & use variances, and interpretations. The ZBA may also be called upon by the Town Board or Planning Board to make recommendations with regard to issues before those Boards.

MEETINGS
The ZBA meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Camillus Municipal Building. Dates are subject to change as necessary (see the Town’s calendar for the most up to date information). All ZBA meetings are open to the public. When a public hearing is held regarding a proposed project, attendees will be provided with an opportunity to speak regarding the issues being considered.

The ZBA is legally required to advertise all hearings to the public a minimum number of days prior to the hearing actually taking place (the number of days may vary dependent upon the subject matter of the hearing). These legal notices of public hearings can be found published in the Post-Standard newspaper.
