The Landfill is closed on holidays and holiday weekends.
The Camillus Construction & Demolition Landfill must operate in compliance with very strict regulations as established by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Failure to comply can result in heavy fines, civil, and possible criminal actions against the Town. Residents’ cooperation in meeting the rigid operating requirements of the Landfill will be an important aspect of successful, worry free operation.
FEES If paying by check, a valid driver’s license must be presented. A $15.00 fee will be charged for any returned check.
Cars: Cars are charged a flat fee of $3.00 per carload (tires excluded)
Trucks: Trucks are weighed upon entry and exit and are billed at the rate of $50.00 per ton, $5.00 minimum (tires excluded).
SUVs/Vans: If the seats are not laid flat or removed, the vehicle will be charged a flat rate of $3.00 per load. If the seats are laid flat or removed, the vehicle will be weighed upon entry and exit and billed at the rate of $50.00 per ton, $5.00 minimum (tires excluded).
Tires/Rims: $3.00 per car tire without rim, $5.50 with rim (the same charges will apply for light duty pickup trucks with maximum 16-inch tire).
LANDFILL GUIDELINES:
The Landfill can accept: Brick, Concrete, Glass, Insulation (non-asbestos), Metals Incidental to Construction, Plaster/Drywall, Plumbing Fixtures, Road Scrapings, Shingles (non-asbestos), Soil (DEC approved), Tires, Rims, Auto & Truck Tires, Wall Coverings, Wiring (without liquids), Wood (construction grade)
The Landfill CANNOT accept: Asbestos (any form), Ballasts, Batteries, Cardboard (see Trash/Recycling), Drums/Tanks/Chemicals, Electronics, Engines, Garbage (see Trash/Recycling), Grass/Yard Waste (see Highway), Hospital Waste, Liquid Containers, Paint/Paint Cans, Shrubs/Stumps/Bushes (see Highway), Television Sets (see Trash/Recycling), Upholstered Furniture (see Trash/Recycling)
